My Story

Life has a way of calling us toward who we're truly meant to become. Sometimes that call is quiet. Sometimes it shakes us to our core.

For me, the journey to this work wasn't a straight path: born in New Zealand with Indian roots, I grew up in London, and first started out my career as a Chartered Surveyor in the real estate industry. Being successful professionally, I still felt a greater calling, one that kept drawing me to explore the deeper dimensions of life.

The big shift came when I met my wife, Chandvi Shah, in 2017. Through our relationship, I reopened this part of myself that had always been there - stepping into therapy and spirituality as a way of life. And that is when the real change began.

Completing the Masculine Embodiment training with “The Soul of Men”, I was brought to move beyond the patterns of being the "nice guy" who sought approval and avoided discomfort, becoming a man with healthy boundaries, greater self-awareness, and a deeper connection to my body. I began to finally let go of the addictions and coping mechanisms I had used to numb emotional pain for years. From this place, I entered into a deep Soul purpose journey - which shook me to my core. It stripped away old identities, revealing a deeper truth about who I am and why I'm here. The greatest gift has been learning to trust the wisdom of my soul and having the courage to follow its guidance.

Today, living with my small family in Nairobi, Kenya,  I have a real thirst for life - and take joy in facing life’s challenges with humour and determination. I know with confidence that my purpose is to walk alongside others as they peel back the layers of conditioning, fear, and self-limitation to uncover the gold that has always existed within them. This is my true calling.

I stand by nature and indigenous wisdom as the answer to today’s challenges that many of us face, finding pleasure in guiding others through these sacred medicines, and helping them find greater authenticity, purpose, and freedom in their lives.

With love,

Ricqesh Parmar
